The Art of It All

Macro photography is a great way to see something new in everyday items.  For instance, these images are from a few random items in my craft room.  Pencil shavings, torn cardstock paper and the top edge of a pair of fabric scissors created images that I found appealing.  And now that I'm looking at them, they all have some red in them.  Hmm.  Interesting that I picked these three!  Once I had a nice collection of macro images, I remembered how much fun it was to make orbs using a few steps in Photoshop.  That was an addiction in itself!  I had to finally make myself stop so I could print some of my favorites in a nice hard-cover coffee table book.
